Orangetop is the quality brand of Hartjes Meat Processing, which has been the expert in production and export of high quality meat products for over 50 years.

Manufacturing for snack and meats industry

To manufacture products of a consistent and guaranteed quality, Hartjes Meat Processing has full focus on process optimization. Hartjes stands for high delivery reliability and competitive pricing. Whether it concerns strips of meat, semi-finished products, or raw materials with standard specifications or completely custom-made, Hartjes is the designated party for supplying fresh and frozen products for both the snack and meat products industry.

Custom products & Co-makership

Also when it comes to custom co-makership, collaboration and direction are important success factors. These make Hartjes a frequently chosen partner. We supply custom meat products to various production companies. Additionally, we are a supplier for purchasing organizations, wholesalers (catering and butchers), the institutional market, and supermarkets.

Export of frozen and cured products

Under the brand name Orangetop, Hartjes Meat Processing produces a wide range of frozen and pickled products, under its own brand or private label. These products are distributed worldwide.

History of Orangetop & Hartjes Meat Processing


Founding Hartjes Vlees B.V.

Founded by Mr. H. Hartjes. Various meat activities for the domestic market, primarily Business-to-Business.

1990

New manufacturing plant Spaanderstraat in Oss

In addition to the construction of the meat processing plant on Spaanderstraat in Oss, a new owner has joined the company.

Industrial production of meat strips

For a long time, Hartjes Meat Processing has been the market leader in the field of strip meat and shawarma, produced industrially.

2006

Company acquired by M. Mathijssen

Continuing the existing activities, Mr. M. Mathijssen takes ownership of Hartjes Meat Processing.

2010

Expansion of export activities

With three containers to Angola, Hartjes expands its global export.

2011

Introduction of the Orangetop brand, development of cured meat products

Product development domestic market

After years of producing Surinamese salted meat products under private label for various organizations, the decision was made in 2020 to start serving these products in the domestic market under the Orangetop brand, managed in-house.
